Rain leaking into cabin

Unread postby Cbyrne on Sat Feb 13, 2016 4:36 pm

Hi all,

We are brand new to Owning an RV.

My 1999 Alpinlite Riviera is leaking under the slide out at the dining room part. (The back Corner of the unit)We have the slide out open and we are wondering if that is a common problem when it's open. We have put a tarp over the 5th wheel but the carpet is still soaking wet. Any ideas where the leak might be originating from? Or what we could do to repair this? We can't drive it anywhere to have it looked at. Many thanks,

Chris

If rain or snow is running down the side of the unit and the seal on the side of the slide is not making proper contact the water could be running down the seal on the slide and then into the unit at the bottom of the slide??

Just a suggestion.
