Looking to upgrade my current 5er
Currently looking at a 2003 Cruiser CF28BH bunkhouse floorplan.
Has anyone on this board owned this model?
Any ideas of the quality level of this manufacturer?
Floor paln is exactly what I am looking for, and the current owner tells me he tows it with a half ton.

I have a close friend who has a Crosroads Cruiser. Not that model though. I've been in it many times.

Cruisers are very good quality in his (and my) opinion. Nice trailers.

However, I think that to tow a Cruiser 5th wheel with a half ton is to grossly overload a half ton.

In the current model range the DRY pin of their lightest model is 1656 lbs. Loaded it would be up around 2400 lbs, and that, in my opinion, is way too much for any half ton truck!!

Not sure of the weights of the 2003 model you are looking at, but I seriously doubt it would be much lighter than what I state above.

If you have a 3/4 ton truck you will be fine! :)

NB - in your previous post you said that you were looking for a half ton towable fiver. The Cruiser is definitely not one of them!

Although they do make cruisers that could be towed with a 1/2 ton I would not say that was one of them.

We have a CrossRoads Cruiser had it for over three years now, have not had the first bit of problems with it than I created. Mine is the CF32BL With a pin weight of 1900 lbs. I see by your post you all ready have a fifth wheel, I assume you are towing it with a three quarter ton. you should be all right. Now CrossRoads does make 1/2 ton towables in the Zinger line and the Cruiser CTX line, check out their webb site for more info
