Does anyone have any opinions on specific brands of heavy duty power jacks.I have decided to treat myself to an early christmas present.

My OPINION on jacks is that they're all pretty much alike. To be ACCEPTABLE they have to life your trailer and tow vehicle when you push the button and on the OTHER hand, that's about all you could expect them to do. I've had Ultra Fab and Attwood and they both were acceptable (meaning they worked perfectly). Only issue I had with the Ultra Fab was a poorly designed fuse holder that allowed water to corrode the insides. I replaced that with a water tight holder and no more problems. I currently have a minor brand DTE (I think it is) and it's worked perfectly also. It's a long story how I ended up with it LOL. Just make sure you get enough capacity to MORE than handle the expected load.

Good advice from Skip. We had an Atwood added to our hybrid trailer, but our current trailer came equipped with a Lippert, which we noticed is a heavier-duty model than the Atwood model we had on the lighter hybrid. So far it seems to work fine. DH is in love with power jacks. :)

I have the Ultra Fab and it works fine. I have my fuse located inside the battery compartment to protect it from the weather.

Just wondering if the OP got their early "Christmas present". What brand jack and how do you like it so far? Was it easy to install?

Yeah, I have Atwood on my race car trailer and my last truck camper had Atwood camper jacks. Never had a single problem with any of them. Still made in the good old USA too. :D
