Capacity of the water tanks in a 2010 Surveyor SV210

Unread postby Barry2 on Fri Jul 01, 2016 6:41 pm

We just purchased our first TT...a 2006 FR Surveyor SV210. Just got back from our first camping trip. It went better than expected, thanks to all the help I got on this forum. The campsite we had, did not have sewer hook-up and we stayed for three nights so we had to rely on our black and grey water tanks. I often checked the monitoring system. I read many threads that told me not to rely on the fill levels, but mine seemed to be reading quite accurately. At the end of the stay both tanks were indicating full, but no water was backing up yet.
I was going to run water into both tanks to see how much more reserve I still had, but forgot to do this.
I would like to know what the capacity (in gallons) is for these tanks. This would take a little of the guess work out of "how close to full are they"!?!?
Thanks in advance for any info

Thank you so much, Limey.
I had also searched the web and was unable to definitively find what the capacity was for my specific year (2006), but I agree that the general consensus is 30 gallons.
I had crawled under my trailer to see the size of the tanks and did not realize they could hold that much. 30 gallons is a lot of grey or black water. I now feel more at ease about not having sewer at a site but I now have a portable tank for emergency back up, when and if needed.
We are heading out on our second trip next Friday to a campground in northern Vermont.
