Should I buy one with slides

Unread postby Fangus on Wed Aug 05, 2015 12:56 am

Hi I'm new here

Looking at getting a used trailer around 5 years old. Has 2 slides 1 for the living area 1. For the bunk. I live in Newfoundland Canada. We get a lot of rain and cold weather but we love to camp. I want the room from the slides but I have lots of people tell me that they are a lot of trouble( leaking , motor breaking down while camping). Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I would vote for the slides.
We have a Class "A" with one super slide for the living room and dining area and it adds so much room in the rig.

We have a slide topper which catches all the water and debris and then when the slide comes in it is clean.

Our unit is a 1998 and we have never had a leak in the slide.

The extra room is work the little extra maintenance a slide requires.
