Wecome Ponyboy. I spent a week down in Myrtle Beach golfing in January. Of course the locals, dressed up in their winter coats, thought we Canadians were crazy playing in short sleeve shirts!!

Welcome Joe
It seems like the Carolinas are well represented on the rv boards? Does that mean there are lots of great places to practice rving back there? Look forward to your experiences. We will be heading that way one day.

Yes, the Carolina's have some really great places to camp. We have it all here. From the Mountains to the Beach and all the lakes in between. We use them all! Now that we have kids we do a little more at the beach just because the kids like the beach and the CG's at the beach have all the amenities of a resort. We are actually heading out for our 1st trip of the year next weekend to a state park about a hour away. I can't wait and the kids a won't stop talking about it!

I got to tell ya; We like camping in Myrtle Beach in mid September and November. It is great because most of the tourists are gone. The only people that are there are the locals, the Canadians and couple of us campers that either don't have kids or kids are not in school yet. We have seen many Canadians still swimming in mid November!! Last year my son wanted to go in after seeing a man swimming so I let him get in and that lasted about 15 seconds. Hey, I never wear a coat. I am a year round t-shirt guy.

Hope to see you on the road!

Welcome aboard!

How many miles on your Dodge? I have a 1995, with about 65700 miles and like yours it gets the job done. I do wish mine was a club cab though.

Actually my 96 just hit 148k on Wednesday! She still runs like a champ. I use this truck for work and do all the maint. on it myself. I have changed all fluids to synthetic. I am a true believer that when a vehicle is taken care of it will last. My last Dodge (1988) ran to 284k when I sold it to a friend that was in a bind and he drove it another 30k before he sold it to someone else. I had a Toyota Tacoma that an emloyee used and it ran to almost 300k before the electrical system went out on it. I don't mess with the "sparks" side of things so we got rid of it after that. I never buy a vehicle brand new and I enjoy people asking about the vehicle and miliage. When I tell people about my last Dodge they are amazed at the miliage.
Enjoy your Dodge. It is a good truck and has the big rig feel. I love mine!

I do like my truck. The only reason I would consider selling it is if I found a sweet deal on a club cab or quad cab Dodge 1995 or newer. Otherwise, I will drive this one for a couple years at least since the mileage is so low. You are right, maintenance is the key to vehicle longevity no matter what you drive.
