Purchasing a travel trailer

Unread postby canadapiper on Sun Mar 04, 2012 12:50 pm

G'day everyone
I am new to the forum and I seeking some assistance in purchasing a used travel trailer.
I am not familiar with what makes are considered good quality vs poor quality etc.

At this time I am interested in a 2004 24' Forest River Cherokee for around $9000. I have never owned a trailer before and would like to know if this is a reasonable deal and the quality of this brand.

Appreciate any information

Welcome to the Forum, Errol.

I've not had any experience with trailers of that brand, but I'm sure someone who has will be along soon! :)

Welcome to the forum!

You didn't mention the actual model. I found something similar on kijiji at:

It's very close in price on what you mentioned, so perhaps $9k is fair.
What model though ? This will certainly help.
Patrick.

Welcome aboard. What part of the country are you in? $9000 seems like a pretty decent deal for a 2004 model year as long as its in decent shape. What are you planning to pull it with?
There is no such thing as a bad day camping.

A great travel trailer tends not to sit in the driveway for long. It beckons you, and you'll want to hitch it up every chance you get to go camping. To buy a travel traile Decide what size travel trailer you want. Travel trailers range in length from 12 to 35 feet.

A used travel trailer will be less expensive than a newer model, but you may have less of a selection.Very small travel trailers may be able to sit in your driveway, but if you purchase a larger model you may need to rent a space to park it.

To buy Travel Trailer decide whether want a new or used travel trailer. A used travel trailer will be less expensive than a newer model, but you may have less of a selection.the GSA makes it easy to find out where trailer is located by including a web-based map of the place it is being stored.
