Hello, everyone,
Just found this site this morning. We just bought a TT. Don't even get it picked up until Thurs. It's a Wildwood 27RLSS LE. Been camping for years. Camped in tent for 25 years. Got a ppu, camped in it for 4 years. Then got a motor home and used it for 3 years. Sold it and now are getting TT. Any one have one of these?

Hope to exchange thoughts, ideas, and problems w/ you. Forums help out a lot on everything.

Happy Easter

Welcome aboard old campers2. I'm certainly no expert as I have only had my trailer for a year, but don't be shy in asking questions. This is a fairly new forum but already has some really knowledgeable members.

Being this TT is brand new, I guess we don't have to do any dewinterizing. However, we will probably go to Camp Driveway next weekend and try everything out. First time we have had a new (and not new to us) camper. Is there anything we should know and do first?

Sanitize the water system and you should be good to go. Congrats on the new trailer and welcome to the forum. Look forward to some pictures / Skip

Welcome to the forum!

You may find that even being new the trailer could be winterized as the plumbing system would have been factory tested, and subsequently would have probably been winterized for transportation. You can tell by looking at some of the clear plumbing pipes under places like your bathroom sink - if you see pink in the lines it's winterized.

Even if you don't, flushing the system before your first use is a worthwhile experience regardless.

One of our moderators, Skipnchar, wrote up a great "How-To" for sanitizing your plumbing system and you can find it in our plumbing forum here.

As you've been camping for years you are probably pretty familar with what gear is needed. Camp driveway for a weekend is still a great idea though to get familiar with all the new components of your trailer. If this is your first TT, you might also want to find a large empty parking lot to get used to backing it up. I would think that it will be a little different than the pop up or mobile home. Other than that just remember to have fun.

I'll take pictures as soon as we get it home. (It's coming from Tenn.) Then I'll have to figure out how to put them here.

Thanks for the welcome.

We have to let the dealer know 2 days ahead of Thurs. we are for sure coming. He will set up everything, turn everything on and check, fill the propane tanks, check hot water, flush out lines, check tires, and I forget what else he said he would do. Anyway, he said we would be ready to camp as soon as we drove it off lot Thurs. So maybe all we have to do is load it up.

Good dealer like mine you could pull out of the lot and go camping.Usually they have all ready to go they go thru trailer with you and setup hitch. good luck and enjoy :D :D
