From SC & ME

Unread postby FastEagle on Sun Mar 20, 2016 9:17 pm

My first post was in the fifth wheel forum.

After working for the US Navy (31 years active and 10 years DOD) I retired. Shortly after that my wife, who has been with me all the way also retired. We sold almost everything, got a 38' 5th wheel and went full time RVing. Since then we have visited all of the lower 48 states and four CDN provinces.

We have never boondocked or stayed in any of those parking lots people talk about. Three or four months in a warm place is about as long as we have stayed at one time. Once we stayed a little too long in WY and it was sleeting when we departed. That's as close as we ever got to cold weather. I'm Form rural Maine and Linda is from a mill hill town in SC. We married young and get along just fine.

Welcome to the forum.

There are a couple clubs out there that offer free RV parking at different locations such as other RV'ers property and even wineries or golf courses.

You can check them out at Discount Camping Clubs

or try this one Free RV Parking

That way you are not camping without permission and does have another level of security than just boondocking in parking lots.

Happy travels.
