Best Time for Southern California Camping?

Unread postby JQSpree on Sun Feb 22, 2009 3:04 pm

I know there are a few on here from So Calif and maybe some that head that way on a regular basis that might be able to help me plan best time to head down along the coast? Looking for decent weather and less people times of year. Anywhere from San Luis Obisbo, Pismo Beach, Santa Barbara, and down to just north of LA? Or just below if there is something good there. Have done it a couple of times with tent or hoteling many years ago, but not lately, and not with travel trailer!!!

If you have any favorite campgrounds or rv parks in that area and would like to share, it is appreciated. Otherwise, its to the Trailer Life Directory! Thanks.

The Southern Cal people must all be out camping and not reading the boards with all of us sitting in the snow or rain??? I sure thought we had some expertise here or else no ones giving up their favorate place or time to go?

Coming to Calif? Want to avoid the crowds? Stay home!
It is always crowded here, always, at least on the coast. The weather here is so good all year people are indeed out and about. Inland it would be winter but stay away from the deserts, they are crowded in the winter.
We pretty much camp year round. 8-)
