Coachmen RV to be acquired by Forest River

Unread postby Limey on Fri Nov 21, 2008 11:25 pm

I see that Forest River is acquiring the RV division of Coachmen Industries. I note from the press release that 85% of the Coachmen employees will go to Forest River with the deal and the rest will be given the opportunity to apply for jobs elsewhere in the Forest River group. Better to see this than have another RV maker go under.

My Coachmen 5er is an outstanding lightweight unit and we have been extremely happy with it. Let's hope that Forest River keeps the Coachmen product line intact!

Glad to hear most of the employees will still have jobs. How many rv manufacturers are out of business now??

Very interesting news. I really had great luck with my Spirit of America and if my experience is any indication FR is getting a pretty good product to add to their line up. It's always good news when employees can keep their jobs. Thanks for sharing
