New Camper

Unread postby Frank Henn on Sun Aug 24, 2008 12:42 pm

Janet and I wish to announce that we have added a new camper to the world. Our first Grandbaby has arrived. She is 5lb and 11oz.. First question, How old does she have to be to kidnap her for her first trip.. I think Potty trained would be very helpful,Janet says sleeping through the night and walking Suggestions :?: :?: :?: :?: :?:

Both our GBs were born in late May. Both took their first camping trips in July, at 7 or 8 weeks of age. Both did great. Next weekend will be the youngest 2nd camping trip. she will be 3 months old. Never too young. Maybe in the days of tent camping. But with a 5er, or a TT. No reason to wait. But their parents came along.

BTW. Ain't they great? Congrats!

Congrats! I vote for the kidnapping mommy too idea. But be sure to promise mommy some rest time, and then follow thru (g'ma & g'pa can spell her for an hour's nap or so, anyway.) :)

This has all most become serious. The kids asked us what we wanted to be called, Janet said MiMi, and I said Sir...Janet has signed up for the course kid napping 101 for the granddaughter..Will be two weeks old Friday I went out and bought a bunch of candy... now if she only had teeth I could teach the kids a lesson on teeth :D :D . Spoiling and leaving course is next month. I have sign up for that.. It is strange seeing a person so small. It has been over 33 Years since my last one was born..

Congrats on the new arrival!!

I am not a grandparent, but our youngest was only about 4 weeks old when we took him out in the trailer for the first time. If I were you, I would do like others have already said, take her mommy along as well for those midnight feedings!
