Cool weather for colorado

Unread postby mountainman on Wed Aug 13, 2008 6:42 pm

The weather forecast for the front Range of Colorado calls for possible snow showers down to as low as 10,000 feet. The high for Friday is expected to be 63 degrees. If you are coming to our High country brings your fleece jackets!

Thanks for the update. I don't mind it being COOL but lets hold off on that darned "COLD" for just a little longer please LOL. Will be passing through on Highway 14 sometime on Thursday most likely. Not sure if I'll be turning North at Waldon or heading on through Steamboat.

Sounds delightful - as long as it doesn't last. :) We've been cool lately for August, and I've seen a few sumac and maple leaves turning... Hope our late spring isn't followed by an early fall!!

I will be at Chatfield SP from Friday noon through Sunday. Personaly I like it a little cooler. The record stretch of days we just had where the temp was over 90 was killing me. We Brits come from a more temparate climate don't you know!

Looks like we got outta there just in time. It was quite hot when we were down your way. I heard that Denver had record setting heat that week. C'mon up and see us if you want to. Temps this weekend are forecasted to be in the low to mid 80's. It's much cooler at night though when the temps drop down into the 50's. Great for sleeping and no need to run the air.

Mike: you weather sounds just right. Oh well this is just a fast moving storm that get you in the mood for fall. that's my favorite time of year and we always like to travel during that time.
We have noticed the aspens changing on our last couple of trips to the "high country" and I noticed the Denver channel 9 news also had an article regarding the changing conditions.
Have a good day up there.
