Presidents club ?

Unread postby cougarlover on Sat Mar 15, 2008 11:10 pm

Was at camping world today just looking around and someone came up to us offering the presidents club for $19.95 for a one year subscription. Do any of you have it or have you had it and do you think it is worth it?

Just wondering

I have joined it on two occasions but I wouldn't buy it just to have it. When I want to buy something that the cost of the membership is less than the savings, I purchase it then. The closest Camping World to us is in Oklahoma City and that's 300 miles away. If we're shopping for ON Line purchases we usually use PPL motorhomes because they're lower cost with no membership fees. http://www.pplmotorhomes.com/parts/rv_parts_rv_accessories.htm

We do need a few big items but lots more little stuff. I guess they are more wants then needs:)

Thanks for the feedback!

We joined the Presidents club, when they had a sale of the products that we were after. The savings by joining at that time was more than the cost of joining. Oh yes these products were on sale by presidents club savings only. I have found that their shipping on items makes it more costly than purchasing it local.

fortunatly we have one within 15 minutes of us so we wont need to have anything shipped. Still will consider if the price of savings is more then the membership.

Hello everyone. Hi Nan, We joined when we got our trailer in Jan. since I knew we would needs lots of things to start with our first trailer. I think it was about that price, but we also got the Good Sam membership for $12, and got two $10 coupons for CW so I thought it was good deal. We have probably spent at least $300 ($400?) there since. Plus the $1500 or more at our dealers for options and extras like an electric tongue jack.

I haven't found any other places to find trailer specific stuff at reasonable price. Are you close to Fairfield? We are not far from Rocklin store. Still thinking about generator but can't find sale.

I'm like Skip - I buy the membership when I am buying something expensive enough so that the savings with the membership are greater than the membership cost itself. I then have it for 12 months, which can be handy. When it expires I just wait to do the cycle again. :)
