Power Step problem

Unread postby dadthor on Mon Mar 07, 2016 9:04 pm

My 2006, class C motor home power step will not stay out. It comes in and out every time the door opens and closes. RV service replaced the sealed control module beneath the step but the problem persists. Rocker switch by door is fine. Anyone have a a resolution to get the step to stay out?

Is the motor running when the door is opened. There is a safety that will raise the step if the engine is started.
If the engine is off then the switch should keep the step from going in when the door is closed.

That is how mine works anyway.

Happy travels.

Mine has a rocker switch near the door. Open the door, so the step goes out, then flip the switch. It overides the door switch that makes the step retract.
