oil for generator?

Unsure as to what kind of oil to use for a Onan 7000 generator. I'm very new at this. We have a 2014 Newmar canyon star
Thanks.

Welcome to the forum.

From an Onan manual:

Onan recommends their own "Onemax" oil, which is a 15W40 viscosity and suitable for use from 10F. to 100F, but they also suggest plain 30 weight as long as temps stay above 32F. . Oil should meet the API spec SH, SG or SJ. See page 6 of the operator manual

Changes every 150 hours or yearly, whichever comes first.
