:o I'm watching the morning news and I just heard that Canadians will need a international license to drive in Florida have you heard anything more ridiculous just another money grab

They made a silly mistake. They have announced that it was only for folks who normally have a foreign language licence. They are intending to modify the law so that it is clarified to exclude folks with licences in English.

Ah, but my understanding is that DLs in Quebec are en francais.

They won't be enforcing for now...

Apparently this requirement may violate the Geneva Convention on Road Traffic (1949).

C'est loi est fini.

Per CBC News. (google www.cbc.ca/news) this law likely goes counter to Geneva Convention on transportation. Thus, Law enforcement officers have been told not to enforce it.
