Lightning strike update

Unread postby fla-gypsy on Fri Apr 18, 2008 3:28 pm

Many of you have asked me to for an update. Just got off of the phone with Dick Gore RV, they say the damage is limited to the converter and a few control boards and the power cord. Looks like about $800 worth. Now to deal with State Farm, hopefully they will behave and pay up quickly.

While $800 is quite a bit of money (at least to me it is), the damage could have been much worse. I am very happy you have your health, and your damage is repairable. I hope the insurance company comes through for you! :)

$800 is nothing compared to coming out without a scratch! I do hope they do the right thing and pay the bill.

What's your deductible? Did you have comprehensive on the trailer (or the US equivalent)?

Dude first glad to hear health is good, second glad to hear not too much damage on the TT, hope they come through for you. I worked alot in the electrical utility industry and saw the results of a bucket truck that was hit with a full force lightening bolt, it fried and melted everything and it is supposed to be insulated go figure :D
