Unread postby Limey on Wed Apr 09, 2008 12:42 am

Anyone else have personalized plates?

I don't have one on my fiver yet, but our Magnum is 'A LIMEY', our truck is '2HORSONR' (we have 2 horses) and our old Ford Exploder is '4DABOAT' :):)

I do not have one but I enjoy trying to figure some of them out. Some people are very creative. Here in Michigan, it is an extra $35.00 a year for personalized plates. So that would make my yearly plates at least $160.00. I am not giving 2 Penny Jennie (our Gov) any extra money.

I have them on my Motorcycle and both trucks BROKE on my motorcycle cause I went broke building it BROKE 1 on my F-250 and BROKE 2 on my F-150. In Minnesota you cant have them on a trailer only motorized vehicles can have them. Here they are $100.00 for any vehicle and no extra money when tabs are due.

I was thinking about getting "TT HAULER" for my truck, or some variation on that...but I don't want to spend that extra money every year. Commercial plates are very expensive in Calif. (yes....if you have a truck you have commercial plates)

Personalized plates are also stupidly expensive here...$250 or so last I checked, and more if you want a logo or anything along with it.

When I first got my pilots licence I looked around at getting one that somehow alluded to it (prvtpilot, pvtpilot, etc etc) but after spending an hour on the computer I couldn't find any combination that wasn't already taken.

So far as I know you can't get customized trailer plates here, so that's out as well.

I love to try and figure them out. I think I am pretty good at it too :D

I have onamshn-On a mission... kinda fits my personality. I always have something going on, planning something, or just plain busy. I cant just sit and do nothing for longer then a minute or 2.

We're pretty fortunate here in Colorado - it's $25 a year once you pay the $50 initial fee (for personalised regular plates). Plus it makes no difference if it's a car a truckor a trailer. Like I said in an earlier post, the truck is HORSONR. The horse trailer is 2HRSONR :)
