I'll argue that a chuckwagon was more of a moving van than an RV.
There is no such thing as a bad day camping.

I've read a few fact books on travel at that time.

One I re-read recently was really a diary written by Laura Ingalls Wilder and taken to press by her daughter. In it she tells little bits about the people they met on the roads and why they were travelling. Some were certainly doing so for the warm season and were going home for the fall.

That little "Trailmobile" looks more contemporary than today's forty foot Phaeton and the like. Were there any pics of the interior? Lizzy
