Water Pressure

Unread postby leadm55 on Fri May 06, 2011 11:28 pm

I know that this my sound stupid but I have noticed that when I am hooked up to water before I get into the running shower I flush the toilet and my water pressure increases. I have asked other people to try it and so far everyone of them says that it helps. It also improves water pressure in the kitchen sink and bathroom sink. The water has to be running where you want the extra pressure then flush. I was just wondering if anyone else has had the experience. I am puzzled why this happens. Could someone explain this please? Thank you.

I can only guess it has something to do with air in the lines.

It doesn't sound logical though.....but you've peeked my curiosity. I'll have to remember to try that when I'm hooked up to city water next time.

Same here. Got a bit curious and tried it out in my motorhome. It actually made the water pressure weaker. It only became okay after the toilet was done refilling itself.
