Lots of camping planned

Unread postby mikhen on Fri Feb 11, 2011 8:59 am

Well I'm partially laid off as of today, but that is not going to slow our camping season. We have lots of weekend trips already booked, and will be planning more tomorrow. This lay off will be short and will allow me to get some stuff done at home. Then back to work on 2 different government jobs(prevailing wage).
Soon will be camping season, everyone ready?

Trailer is in storage until end of April, but I've already started booking weekends!
- May Long Weekend - booked
- Father's Day weekend - booked
- Canada Day / USA Independence Day - booked (heading to New York state)
- Labour Day - booked (Waterloo, NY)

And I'll most likely get out every 2nd weekend or so at some of the local parks. :)
Patrick.

Nothing booked......we are going to wing it this year, spending a lot of time boondocking at friends places.

It promises to be a GREAT year.

Booked so far this year:

End of April - Cherry Creek SP, CO - 2 nights
Last week in May - Lake Pueblo State Park, CO - 6 nights
3rd week in June - Rafter J Bar Ranch, Black Hills, SD - 7 nights
4th July weekend - Chatfield SP, CO - 4 nights
4th weekend in July - Eleven Mile Reservoir SP, CO - 3 nights
2nd weekend in August - Lake McConaughy, NE - 3 nights

Booked our first reservation for mid-July at an Ontario Provincial Park & it made it seem that camping wasn't far away!

That's us this year too. We're moving halfway across the country soon, and will need some time to settle in. A whole new set of campgrounds to find & explore!

Halfway across the country from Illinois? That would put you on 1 of the coasts?
