Tragic story

Please check all safety equipment and change batteries annually.

Also note that co detectors are good for only 7 years or so then need to be replaced.

$30 could save your life...

Absoultely!

Interestingly that story was just skimmed over here in Colorado. I thought it should have been more talked about in order to inform people of what can happen if you don't take care of your appliances or make sure your detector is fully functional.

Why would anyone cheat their lives for a $30 detector?

I've got five of them on the boat - I can't afford to lose an entire crew for lack of them.
