May....way too long away

Unread postby pwall on Sun Nov 28, 2010 11:09 am

I had to go over to my trailer (which is in storage) this morning to pick up a couple of items......
It's going to be a long winter....May is just too long away.

I have to wait 5 months in advance to book the May longweekend. But I have a reminder set in my blackberry to book!
Once that's booked, then there's a light at the end of the tunnel. :)

How do you all, who see May as ages away, get your quota of 'outdoors' in winter?

Of course, I live rural on 1.5 acres of land so I have 'green' every day of the year unless I travel to a city.

Don't need to book May as we go mid-week. 20 days and I can book June.

Yes, there will be a trip report as soon as time allows. For now, I will say the Fort lives up to the hype and then some.

I'd like to post a report so I can post a link on a few forums. Would I be able to do this on blogspot? Of course, after a Disney trip, I'm looking for a free site.

Private, that sounds AWESOME. We thought about it, Mcgregor PP floods a road that you can skate on. One of these days I'd LOVE to be in a park on New Years

Hello Friends,

Going up also.

Is this the first year there for you ?

We are going on the 29th.

Lots of snow there this year, don't forget a toboggan for the kids they have a nice hill there.

Our old Motorhome was good in the sand and snow, heres a photo :D

Third real bad winter in a row here in North Dakota. Hopefully next weekend I can begin my 2011 Spring Cleaning of the Montana fiver which I do from Jan to March. I have some mods to do, polishing of all the woodwork, sanitizing and scrubbing the bathroom and kitchen, shampoo the carpets etc. Late March I will pull the Montana to a friends shop to wash, wax and buff it. The only way I can keep my sanity during late winter :? :?

Now the winter seems like it will have an end now that I've got a park booked.
Heading to Voyageur Provincial Park which is located in Eastern Ontario.

For our first major trip, since surgery last year, we're going to Alaska! Skagway to be exact and maybe Haines, but no further.

We are anxious to pick up our new 5er. We will get it about April 15 (could be earlier if the track opens sooner) & take it to Mosport International Raceway where it will stay for most of the summer. We will do about 4 trips with it over the summer but we camp for free at the track because we work (volunteer) all the races there. We will live in it most of the period from April to October. We can even leave it there over the winter.

Can't come fast enough! :)

I look at it as insulation! We're spending the winter in Bigfork, Montana - where we used to live a decade ago. Currently have five feet on the level and more than 12 ft up on the mountain.
