To Cover the camper or not?

What to use commercially made cover or Tarp?

I have heard pros and cons about both

I currently dont cover mine but have with other trailers..

I've always been told not to use a tarp as it doesn't allow the RV to breath over the winter.
Nonetheless, I don't cover mine at all and so far, haven't had any issues.

I agree with you, they don't at the RV dealerships.
Patrick.

Gave my ADCO cover away after one season. Good riddance!

Darn thing almost rubbed through the rubber roof in several places. Also rubbed marks on the awning and its support arms.

Never again am I going to put one on any trailer I own.

If you live in a windy area they are particularly bad. I do, and even though it was snugged down tight with padding on sharp edges, it still did damage.

There's a Montrealer of many seasons storing trailers and an MH, who agrees completely with this, no cover. As weather acts on snow, it will rub the cover over your rv's finish and create wear and make you have to re-sand and finish the exterior. Snow alone won't do this.

I haven't put anything on my fiberglass clamshell construction TC.

We always covered ours in the past, but this year we will be using ours till mid December, so I probably won't be covering it.
And I always point to the fact that dealers don't cover theirs.
To me it means that it will just need a real good cleaning in the spring.

I guess that good cleaning in the spring will get me up there to inspect things
