What did you do for the first long week-end of 2010 ?

Hope everyone had a good long week-end in Canada and have a good up and coming in the States. :D

Thought we might share what and where we all went and any highlights.
It could give others some travel ideas.

Us, we went to Tobermory, Ontario. (Tobermory Village Campground) Nice campground. Quite and peaceful. Nice playground for the little ones. Grass sites, full hook-ups to 30-amp, clean and close to town.
Tobermory has lots to do, Glass bottom shipwreck tours also.

Weather was great ! Couldn't have asked for a better May Long week-end in Ontario.

How was your week-end ?

We were booked at Waterton Lakes National Park, but DW called me on Thursday morning and said "Do realize that the high temperature on Saturday is only going to be 6 degrees?" A lot of rain was also forecasted. So we cancelled and stayed at home. Oh well, at least the the kids and I got to go to Banff last weekend. It was really nice there.
There is no such thing as a bad day camping.

The first long weekend in the states is this coming weekend. We have reservations at a state park about 45 miles outside of Detroit (Bruin Lake) from Thursday through Monday. So an extra long weekend. Weather is supposed to cooperate.

Originally we were going with my brother's in-laws, but because one person forgot to make their reservations, everyone is cancelling. Our group of 14 is down to 2 persons :o - myself and my hubby. At least now we know it will be quiet and relaxing...

Wife has to work this weekend, so no long weekend for us. Hopefully will get out next weekend or the week after.
