Last minute?

Unread postby Ontariofarmer on Fri Apr 23, 2010 10:30 am

Well we got a call from some friends this morning, wanting to come for the weekend.

There are 4 couples in 2 5ers and a bus.

We are planning to get together here a few times this summer, just didn't think it would be this early.

So our first outing in the 5er happens tonite for the weekend. The weather man calls for cold temps but sun. YEE- HAW

Anyone else do the last minute thing?

I don't mind doing the last minute thing - harder to do with my husband's work. I have every other Friday off work, so I am more flexible. Have fun and stay warm...

Have a great weekend!
I'm camping this weekend too, but for scouting. I'll be spending my entire weekend in the kitchen. Lots of work, but it's fun. ;)

Wish I could go this weekend, but looks like I'll be up on the roof replacing 3 smashed vents on the 5er. Darned hail. Now it is pouring with rain all day, and they just forecast up to a foot of snow tonight. Hope the trash compactor bags hold up!

(Supposed to be 60 and sunny on Sunday - Colorado in the springtime! LOL  )

You could say this weekend we are doing a last minute thing. I was waiting to see for sure that I got a job. So, after watching weather last night, our best bet for a dry Saturday was to head to the Poconos. All I need to do yet is put ice in the coolers and wait for wife and daughter to get home.

I'm generally not a last-minute person, but where we live, weekends are not a good choice for last-minute camping. They're usually full by Friday morning, or else fully reserved ahead of time.
