Camping season....saved

Unread postby mikhen on Fri Mar 12, 2010 10:00 am

Looks like we'll be starting to get a schedule for camping together. I got the call back to work today. I go back Monday and the 1st few weeks are weather permitting because it's an outside job. Looks like it will be busy in about a month. Gives me some hope for the season.
To anyone else laid off....hang in there, it will get better.

That's great news Mike!
Having been laid off last June from a local hi-tech company, I certainly understand. Fortunately, it was only 2months before I was blessed to be back to work at another company.

Now if the weather would cooperate. I would actually get some hours in. Although yesterday my neighbor and I just picked up a big money side job. :D

That's great news. I've been laid off for almost a month now. I'm still looking. We have two trips planned right now. One for Memorial Day because it was paid for already and the other is a birthday weekend camping trip for my son in mid April. Other than that everything is on hold.

I know what you mean. By now, we usually have just about our whole season reserved. So far, we only have our Disney trip planned, and that was planned long before I knew anything about a lay off. Wife works 2 Holidays this year, and we are having our annual family clam bake at home on the 4th of July this year. That's the extent of our camping season so far.

Hang in there, things will get better sooner than later, I hope.
