Hitch is located on the roof of the car. This is old, I have personally never seen one.

Wow! Not sure I'd be wanting to siting right under the hitch like that if someone rear-ended you or something, though...I was going to guess the tongue weight was little to none although you can see the Beetle leaning and twisting a bit so there must be some there?

While I was watching that I came across this one - build your own fifth wheel for $9300!

Must not have caught on....I have never seen anything like that!
Back in the 40's and 50's there was a company that made a matched set, a truck like TV and trailer. I'll have to see if I can find the photos.
