My new hiking pardoner

Unread postby mountainman on Thu Mar 20, 2008 8:52 pm

We lost our 6.5 year old Golden Retriever last June and have had a tough time accepting the loss. We recently decided it was time to look into acquiring a new hiking/camping pardoner. Here is a picture of Bailey, a golden retriever who is now 16 weeks old and keeps asking "when are we going camping pardoner"!

My camping buddy is shown in my avatar. She is Starr, a seven year old Golder Retriever. She is our third Golden, they don't come any better. She loves to camp, and if water is involved...all the better. Give Bailey a couple of more months and there won't be room for you in that truck. Look at the paws...what a cutie :D

Rough2000: I agree, Goldens are a wonderful family friend. We have had several also and each one has it's own personality. They are a joy and it is next to impossible to be without one especially if you love camping as we all do.
Thanks for your note.

First off I can sympathize with your loss being another dog lover. I have had many "best friends" in my 6 decades and it always hurts like heck to lose one.

Bailey is gorgeous!!! What a doll. Here's to many many years of special friendship!!!! :D

crazyaboutcampin, thanks he is growing like a weed and is a very sweet and smart pup. We are in training now and he is responding quite well. Can't wait to take him camping which will be in about 3 weeks.

Me Too! Mountainman, I can sympathize with you. 3 years ago we lost Precious, our 14 year old Cocker Spaniel. After about 8 mths, we couldn't take it anymore and found our "Bailey". Bailey's 2 1/2 now, but sometimes you'd swear she was still a pup. Enjoy your new friend and start making new memories. :D

Sorry about the loss of your pet last year. They really become one of the family. Your new puppy looks like a real sweetheart--hey I won't lose my man card for saying that will I? My brother just got a golden and she is a few weeks older than yours but what a good dog. They are an excellent breed. Heres to new memories.
