Can't agree more. Fall is the best time to be in the parks. :)

:( 6 months of no camping (unless you winter camp in your RV)
At least I'll have my scouting activities to keep me busy.

Cape Cod has had a high surf last weekend and this weekend due to the hurricanes in the Atlantic. It is 57° tonight. Hopefully we'll get a few more good camping trips and before winter.

Our favorite time to camp is in the fall followed by winter then spring. The hot summer the 5er stays under the garage. Soon to be a happy camper again.

We've been spoiled this summer with Fall like temps through much of July and August. Highs in the 70s and 80s with nighttime lows in the 50s and 60s. Absolutely perfect weather!!

Our last trip will be to Montauk State Park here in Missouri at the end of October, and then our first trip next year will be the same park at the end of February. In between, are four months of TT hibernation. I always ponder getting the trailer out during the winter at some point just for kicks to a local campground, but it never happens.

Still 90 degrees here, cooler temps are just a dream at this point. The morning lows have dropped into the lower 70's and that feels nice

That goes for me too. It's been another long hot summer and I'm ready for a relief from it. We are starting to get it on some mornings now in our area.

We went camping this past long weekend in Waterloo NY. Stayed at Cheerful Valley campground.
Had a great time....although my wife spent way too much at the outlet stores.
It was sunny all weekend, temperatures around 25c but the evenings it went down to around 17c.....perfect temp for sleeping. :)

We're trying to squeeze in a few more trips before the "official" season wraps up, but since we've been doing some boondock camping as part of a family member into motocross events, the season could string on until early November before we officially call it done.

Of course, the possibility for some winter camping, as we did last year, still exists. I'm not sure my wife will be interested this time around, but I think I can find a few gung-ho guy friends interested. :-)

We used to like winter camping but as we got older for some reason we got away from it. There is nothing like cooking out doors and a big open fire. We have one more trip the frist of Oct to the fair in Fryeburg fair in Maine. Will leave frist of Jan. to snowbird for 3 months in Florida.
