Here is an update with more info about this new diesel engine due for 2011 in Ford Superduties.

390 horsepower and 720 lb/ft of torque, sounds impressive!

That is serious power, I hope they are working on upgrading the gas 5.4. It suits my needs better than any other but needs some new life and power along with some more torque and mpg's.

I think the 5.4 is at the end of its devlopment.coming soon is a new gasser (hurricane)6.2 I think,and a new 5.0.
Ford is reopening its Cleveland plant as of Fri. not sure if thats what is going in there.

Shoot-forgot to plug my favorite, 4.4 diesel. On hold I know.
But since it was almost ready for launch(2010-2011) hoping it wont be delayed too long.
Supposted to be a alternative for the 6.7 in the superduty line.
Choices are good!
