PETA and ice cream

Unread postby Terry on Wed Sep 24, 2008 11:09 pm

They want Ben & Jerry's to stop using cow milk. Said it was cruel to milk the cows, and was tatking milk away from "baby cows" That's calfs for the rest of us. What do they want to replace it with? Human breast milk!

How stupid can they be. Where do they think the breast milk will come from?
B&J's spokes person. to their credit. Said that breast milk should be used for the human babies it was intended for.

Animal lover that I am (see my "handle" :) ), in my opinion PETA often goes too far. Nevertheless, this one really takes the cake. Unbelievable! I figure someone's trying to pull our leg here...

DH said he thinks dairy cows actually have a pretty cushy life. Eat, poop, chew cud, get milked twice a day, live in fairly clean & pleasant surroundings. Hang out with all their girl friends. Only get pregnant every now & then. ;)

No, It's true. You can't make this stuff up. It's too good.
Do a google search for PETA, or B&J's

I am a member of a PETA organization myself.

People Eat Tasty Animals!

 Sorry, couldn't resist.

PETA often does things outrageous and bizarre to draw attention. This is another example of PETA's idiocy.

Have to come here to have fun.
And as some have said. We ain't thru milking this yet. Cause ice cream is urdderly delicious, just the way it is.

Terry,

If you posted this topic in the pet forum section over THERE, I am not surprised it disappeared. Those pet extremists on that forum have some bizarre ideas, and probably several of them are PETA members. I have had several of my posts get poofed in the pet section.

NOoooo! Wasn't in the pet forum. Even I know better. learned the hard way. No. the first was in the Around the campfire. I thought that is where it belonged. But it dissapeared. So I ask about iy in the General RVing section. Same thing. It's just funny. Not political or religious, or has guns or nothin.

I think animals have rights but these people need to remember they are animals some of the PETA folks treat animals better then people. I think it is very damaging to our environment to pick fruit and vegetables they are living things and shouldnt be killed or eaten you folks that eat them are just plain rude. Really we have many things far more important going on in this country than trying to stop ben and jerrys from making ice cream. If the money spent on PETA was put to good use we could solve some major problems in our country. Some of which could be making sure all kids get 3 meals a day, but I guess a cows udder is more important.

Folks like that WOULD be funny if they didn't take their views so seriously. Kind of like the folks who believe it's immoral to let their dogs run around without underpants :)
