Aussie Dream Come True

Unread postby Little Kopit on Mon Dec 17, 2012 6:05 am

Last September, I took my airmiles and flew downunder.

Now, December 17, 3 month later I'm home.

- Hoping whats in the camera will tell my tale for me.

- Zonked after 5 am arrival home

- But having a snack as a hopeful sleeping pill.

After all 5am here is daytime Oz.

I didn't manage to have my password to this forum with me, but I've been reading, so I won't be totally lost.

For now, finding good camping spots in a country you don't know is a totally different kettle of fish than finding them in your home turf.

Whatever happens, will.

My tower pc is down, went down less than 24 hours after I got here.

I'm clumsy on the laptop.........

& it's amazing what else can happen when you're away 3 months.

Patience.......

Well, I finally have my trip pics downloaded to the computer. Here are a few for teasers.

Many country properties extend the roof as something to help keep their dwelling cooler.

Wish I could upload more than one pic as an attachment to a post.

What we would call a ranch, they call a station. & something of 500 acres is a very small property.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH it is a thumbnail. Click on it.

Ouch, an attached picture is less than 300 pixels wide. TIny, tiny, tiny for 70 year old eyes!!

Now, here is another station property HQ.

& what we would call farm buildings.

Both @ 640 pixel width, which is what I find on most forums.
