Dutchman's Paradise

I spent some time as a youngster along the banks of the Mississippi River in Fulton, Illinois. It was mainly inhabited by Dutch Reform descendants. We visited the Canyonlands Utah , Needles Area this past spring and I think of that community each time I see this picture as that Wooden Shoe was the symbol of that community.

Really nice photo. To ME it looks like the big wooden shoe is parked just outside the Kremlin (on the left) :)

Skip: you have a great imagination! We have more very cold weather to pass off to you in a day or so! Sure will be glad when Feb 10th rolls around so we can go south for a while.
