Traveling in May

Unread postby mountainman on Sun May 11, 2008 9:38 pm

Just returned from a 1300 mile trip to Canyonlands, Utah and Colorado places. Ran into all four seasons of weather on any given day. Gas prices ranged from around $3.39 here in Loveland to $4.00 in Eagle, Co. Being a boondocker helps defray the fuel cost and there are plenty of opportunities in the area around Canyonlands to do that.
We woke up in Kremmling, Co this morning (Sunday) to 21 degrees and had to use four wheel drive to get over Cameron Pass on Hwy 14 between Walden and Ft Collins.
Here are a few shots.

Great pics. I'm looking forward to getting some mountain shots myself this summer. With any luck gas won't be $9.00/litre by the time the trip happens. :D
