Section Names

Unread postby BillnJolene on Sun Jun 08, 2008 6:42 pm

I think it would be wise to change Pickup Bed Campers to Slide-In Campers. I have never heard the description used before. Of course, that is maybe just me, but I have 11 years experience with that genre.

Done, thanks for the suggestion, and I agree that it's a better description.

Truck Campers, Truck Campers, Truck Campers Truck Campers.

You back under them, when they are jacked up. Never liked slide in.

I once did a post on slide on campers as one can have in EU & Oz. Those are closer to the word slide, but still the word slide isn't what happens.

Truck Camper, Truck Camper, Truck Camper........

Limey,

I only said it a few times.

Truck Campers.

That works no matter what type of truck. Look, I personally have seen a truck camper in a mall, walked over and talked to the owners. The TC started life as a waste products dump box and was customized from that. No, it was not a Unimog, but the same height, bottom of camper at level of the bottom of my truck windows.

Or there is the Australian tray back truck, where the sides of the truck bed slide down for loading or can be removed. & this is comic, that's my posted image at another site. The owner of that rig is a good friend of mine.

The truck is a 1995 Toyota.

Right now, I can't think of the term the Europeans use for some of their rigs which ride on trucks. But here's one:

Back track on that image and view the album, if you want to look at pics from a nice EU vacation.

They are all truck campers.

8-)
