How many posts to move to next level?

Unread postby Limey on Thu Mar 27, 2008 12:34 am

I notice that we get little blue boxes to signify membership levels.

How many post needed to move to each of the levels, and what are they called?

I note that zinger is moving way too fast and is already a 3 box 'contributing member' in spite of my valiant efforts to catch up.

Limey,
Think quality, not quantity !!! I am on a couple of travel/cruise boards and there are a few members who can post a 100 msg a day-----------on one thread!!! We have one that has over 25,000 msgs and she has a job!

I post when I have a question or problem or I have an answer for someone that six people haven't already given a perfect answer. Like Skip!!

You know, this is a question I can't answer. It's kind of hard to tell from the members we have and their current level. I'll have to ask PP about this one / Skip

The main post levels are at 25, 75, 150, 250 and 500 posts.

500 Seems like a long ways off, but for many can be reached fairly quickly.

At this point 500 posts will cause the member to reach the most "senior" ranking, but when the board grows to a point where many people reach that level we could institute some new ranks that could cover any range over and above.

Limey,

Are you tripple towing in the sig pic? How long is the boat? By the sig it looks like the 5'er is 26'. Never done it, but I'm not sure I want to try. Looks scary, but I guess its ok unless you have to stop quick or back up.

Limey has discussed his double towing in another thread somewhere.. I'm sure he'll post a link to the thread.

FWIW, here's what I used to drive. You can backup doubles no problem once you get used to it - I used to pull doubles as well (work aside) with a much smaller trailer I used to own (I'd put my boat behind it) and I tell you, if you want to see heads turn at a campground, pull up to your campsite and back in without unhitching. ;-)

Yes I do double tow - all within limits and laws - no problems and not scary at all.

This is the thread that Pilot was referring to...http://rv-forums.org/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=124&p=974&hilit=double#p974

Towing double is easy. Try PUSHING your trailer

It's in Navajo State Park (Colorado State Park) - SE of Durango. It is one of the best kept secrets of SW Colorado. Most of the lake is in New Mexico but the north end is in Colorado. It's 26 miles from the Colorado marina to the NM marina at the other end, and that's only one leg. About 150 miles of shoreline. Just fantasic - we were there for 10 days around Labor Day last year. I can post some more pics if you like - probably in the Campgrounds section. Just ask! :)

Yeah, I'd love to see more pics. We have some big lakes here, but most of the back drop is flat. One of the big lakes we have here has over 900 miles of shoreline. Post some pics and let us know where to view them.
