Help, need alternate wallpaper colour

Unread postby Little Kopit on Fri Dec 03, 2010 5:18 pm

That dark red and that dark pink really bother my eyes.

I'm one of those who really do have a problem with dark wallpaper.

This is OUCH, OUCH, OUCH, OUCH

Can't give me an option?

The same was done last year - I don't like it either - makes the whole forum difficult to navigate and very frustrating - hopefully it will get changed - Pat?

Thank you for telling me you're the same.

How about, light but bright green with pink cross bars.

That's sort of Xmasy.

Let me start by saying that input is always welcomed from members on RV-Forums.org. In all the years this place has been running, we have always listened to requests with full ears and then made a decision to either make changes or leave this place like it is. Ever since me and Pat took over the board, every change we made has cause some members to complain about it. Let me remind you all that this place is offred to you free of charge even if the cost of running this place is well over $500 a month. Many hours is spent by the mods to make sure you get an enjoyable place to hang out or even myself to keep it running at no cost to you. As far as I know, I am the owner of the servers, the domain name and the forum so I get to make the decision of how this place will look NOT YOU. If you don't like the christmas look, then stay away for the month of December. It's as easy as that. If you have a concern, you don't post it for everyone to see. We have personal posting to the mods for this. If anyone wants to start managing the way this place should be ran, then I welcome you to send a conciderable donation to pay for the bills, and even at that point, I still have the final say since I am the owner.

With this said, I can reasure you that on January 1st, this place will be switched back to the normal template but just to let you all know, there will be more templates coming soon to reflect some of the major events during the year.

We are not the only board running these templates so trust me when I say that it's perfect on other boards and it's perfect here. If you can't stand the side bars, change your resolution to a lower one and you won't get the side bars.

I go to Toronto for the weekend.......look what happens. geez.... :(

Ok, the site is back to what we call 'normal'. We're working on some Christmas theme changes, but they will be a bit less 'dramatic'.

I've spoken (and text'ed) with a few of you today to iron out this issue. At this point, I'm going to consider this issue closed and let's move on in the Christmas spirit. :) (last thing we all would want is to turn into some of the larger sites that bash/ban far too much and quickly).
All too often, especially for open forums, temperatures can quickly rise on both sides of the internet, and often times at the end of the day, we still have a common interest that can bind us together.

Merry Christmas one and all, and many thanks for your patience over the weekend.
Now who's spending Christmas in the rv's ???
Patrick.

I was in Toronto this past weekend...while having breakfast at the hotel, the news was mentioning that they're expecting their first winter storm.....3cm over the next 24hrs. I just about spit my coffee all over the table while trying not to choke while laughing. ;)

Well we did get a hit of snow near London today. About 6" and more coming.

Wish we could get out for Christmas but no go.

We go out for New Years though, only a few weeks away :D Any one else?
