Posting photos while using a Mac

Unread postby Mike in Calgary on Sun Apr 18, 2010 11:05 pm

Is anyone else using a Mac? I've got photos on iPhoto, but when I try to post them, they're not allowed due to the extension "ipmeta". When I request that the extension be hidden, I get the same results. Can someone help me out?

I'm not much help, don't have a clue about iPhoto.
hopefully someone here does. I'll ask a few people at work tomorrow who use Macs and see if they have any thoughts.
Patrick.

You're not trying to post the actual images, what you're seeing is iPhoto metadata files.

In iPhoto, select the image you want to upload and then select "File" from the menu bar at the top, then select "Reveal in Finder". A Finder window will open pointed to the actual image file of the image you were looking at in iPhoto. It should have a common graphic format extension, usually .jpg, but may depend on what camera you use.

Select that file, and away you go.
