Stretch to Fit Page

Unread postby Little Kopit on Tue Dec 01, 2009 10:10 am

Most forums these days have an option or a setting to set the forum content: threads, poster info. etc. all across the page except a little (maybe 1/2" ) boundary.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE set this up YESTERDAY.

My eyes want lighter background. My eyes dislike dark wallpaper. What with Xmas Red, I'm in OUCH land.

Please stretch it or let me stretch it, please.

Did modifications to stretch it as much as possible and this is the max we can go.. This forum has been set from the start for a 1024X768 resolution (even the original theme) and the design will not let us go beyond this.

Could we have something lighter for the wall paper then, please.

How about green with white and red accent colours..

This is just DARK, DARK, DARK.

BTW I've checked this with those who really know images. One retire scenery photographer said his son is in advertising and that they only use dark colours for attention getting stuff, not a full section. They have found fewer read things with a lot of dark colours, especially background dark colours.

I don't know why but I know there are a bunch of IT techies who delude themselves big time on this one.

The red is very dark.

Of course, I know about colour perceptions. I know I am of the dominant group. I've worked with those who are 2nd most frequently on colour perceptions charts and with those with more obscure colour perception groupings. In fact a building manager used to put up what a lot of us called big big clashes.

To me that is a very dark red. If the snow flakes were white , it would be a whole big lot better. & the use of just the one colour, other than creme or white, is heavy very heavy.

It is just UGH, UGH, UGh

So if I get this right, you are telling me that the whole christmas theme is ugly and we should go back to the original one we had before.

Is this what you are telling me?

The 'Christmas Theme' is one of the many plug-ins for the forum software.
Although it may not be the best fit for all, it is only temporary until Christmas is over. And then it's back to the 'normal' look.

Nonetheless, it is possible for you to send me a screen-shot of your display ? I only see a border that's approximately 3/8inch, so I don't really see much of a background.
Patrick.
