The Crooked Hook (Clewiston, Florida)

Pros:
Nice people
Very close to Lake Okeechobee
True full hook ups (water, elect, sewer)
$38 per night in season

Cons:
No internet
No cable
Nothing to do
Nothing close by to do
50% park model trailers and 40% seasonal folks
Very narrow road ways that made backing in my tiny 25' TT a project for even the most experienced towers
2003 GMC Sierra 2500HD, extended cab, long bed, 4X4, 6.0L, 4:10 gears
2003 Forest River Flagstaff 25LB
No WD hitch or sway control. Primus brake controller

Only good thing about Clewiston is they have a GoodWill thrift store.

We usually go to Big Cypress Indian Reservation/Resort which is exit 49
going West on alligator alley......then IF you want you can drive to LaBelle
or into Clewiston - but really no reason to go.

They are about $22 a nite, full or W&E Hookups, pool, jacuzzi, game room,
shuffle board, and putt-putt.

Many seasonals there - but even when they are there - only 1/2 full!
When they leave - we got it all to ourselves.

Only draw back - if you go in the summer.......whew........look out for those mosquitoes!
They will carry you away brother!
