Question regarding Propane certification in Ontario

Unread postby dresda on Sat Mar 28, 2015 11:09 am

Hey there, we are in the process of buying a 10 year old class C RV. Its a great deal, clean, just the right size for two of us. The only snag at this point is that the propane certification hasn't been done. Its an '05 unit and this is '15. I haven't been able to find any info that clearly explains the requirements for the propane system certification here. I thought it needed to be done at 10 years and every 5 from there on.

is it a requirement for registration (ie, transfering ownership)? Insurance purposes? What happens if it hasn't been done? Can we get the tanks filled?

Can anyone help or point me to a website that explains this?

I'm really looking forward to getting this RV, its been a dream for about 10 years and its now becoming a reality!

Thanks!

Does the Class C you are buying have an onboard tank or bottles?

If it is an onboard tank, it is different regulations than bottles.
