Tis Fall

Unread postby Little Kopit on Sat Oct 15, 2011 10:05 pm

Here's a bit o' my fall.

Somebody did some nice planning for this cemetery

Image

Whoever thinks ‘fall’ when you see a yellow school bus?

Image

No planning here, but nice .........

Image

Fall is tilled fields, harvested hay (white plastic over round bails) and coloured windbreak via trees.

Image

Geese fly the feeding ways and visit while they refuel.

Image

Again visitors mixing with the locals

Image

Fall hay bails again. & a farmer who is supplementing the fresh pasture with hay already.

Image

Has anyone else got pics with fall things. Fall pics are usually so pretty.

Nice pics LK. Around here everything just turns yellow for a week then goes bare. About a week later, its covered with snow. Thanks for sharing.

Thank Mike, all.

We are into another phase of fall. After most of the hardwood trees' leaves have done their colour change act, the needles on our larches* turn orange and after a week or so fall off.

Where I used to live in Western Newfoundland, all the larches of a stand would turn orange together. Not so here.

* Larches have several names in this country, namely: hackmatack, juniper, tamarack. http://www.macphailwoods.org/tree/larch.html

How many of you live near stands of this conifer tree?
