Yes, that was a great game. Both teams played very well.

How's about the other 13 gold medals.

Though it was a bronze that got the world's attention, that for Joannie Rochette in figure skating, those few days after she lost her Mom.

I agree wholeheartedly. Joannie Rochette was truly inspirational. It was so great to her carrying our flag during the closing ceremonies. She and a cross country skier from Slovenia who broke 4 ribs in training and still competed were also given the Terry Fox award for their perserverance under adversity.

I'd like to add some kudos to Vancouver. Other than the death of the luger before the games, things seemed to go quite well (weather doesn't count, since we can't control it). Several inspiring stories of the athletes, and I will admit to watching Joannie skate through tears. I know her mom is proud of her. I'm glad for Canada that y'all's teams did so well, and personally I was rooting for Canada - your game, your ice, about time. :) For me, the hockey game had the perfect ending - both teams playing well, ending up 3-2 in OT for the home team. Good going. :)
