2008 Classe c versus 1993 winnebago passage

Unread postby Silviap on Wed Mar 16, 2016 4:22 pm

We would like to rent a motorhome for our holidays. We are a couple with 2 childrens with absolutly no RV experience.....We have the possility of choosing between a 2008 ford adventurer 20 ft and a 1993 Winnebago passage 22ft. They have almost the same amount of kms. We do not much about motorhomes and would like to have your opinion. Price is cheaper for the Winnebago 2700 CA$ and 350…0CA$ for the Ford for 18day.
Is it risky to rent a 23 years old RV ?
Is it going to be less efficient in terms of electric autonomy ?
May the younger one have improved equipment that can make the difference ?
We do not need TV or other fancy stuff we just want to be able able to sleep, cook and drive around.
We thank you in advance your your advice.

Take the 2008 Ford. It would be more reliable and easier to handle as they drive very similar to a car if you don't have experience.
Two feet won't make that much difference space wise as long as you have sleeping for four.

Have a great trip.
