2000 Minnie Winnie 29 foot - buying advice

Unread postby bikenut on Sun Sep 02, 2012 12:13 pm

Hi there,
I have never rv'd before but am looking at a purchase of the unit noted in the Subject line.

If someone has experience with this model and would share some advice it would be greatly appreciated.

If there are buying tips on what to look for when buying an rv, that would also be appreciated.

Thank you

Welcome to the forum!

I don't have any experience at all with this unit....I'm a travel trailer guy.
However, doing some quick research on the internet, this unit seems to be equiped with Ford's V10. There are many opinions on the net, both good and bad with the V10. From what I found, around the '97 year they had some problems, but were fixed up in later models.
Many Class C's run the Ford V10, it's a very common and popular choice.
Just my two cents....
Patrick.

As far as the Minnie goes coach wise, should be fine. Engine wise, Our 05 has the v10 and has no issues. In earlier years, there was a spark plug problem, where they would be froze and would break when removing. If you don't do your own repairs, or don't mind trouble doing repairs, it should be fine.
