V-10 Power improvements

Unread postby Jerry on Fri Aug 27, 2010 9:29 am

:?: I own a 33 ft Class A with a ford v-10. I am looking at installing some aftermarket equipment to improve performance (specifically, increase air flow through engine). I am looking at the Banks system (torque tubes, ram air, mufflers, etc.). Has anyone had any experience with the Banks system, or any other power improving equipment? Did you install it yourself or have it professionally done? What improvements did you notice?

Thanks for any feedback...

Can't say personally, how ever I was talking to someone a month or so ago and he had put on the intake ram air kit himself and claims that he has more power but the fuel mileage is the same.

Best I can offer, :P

I had a gas with a 460 fuel injected in a 32 foot. I put a off the shelf larger exhaust systm on, and I used a 4" dryer alum. hose on the intake. it didn,t help my mileage, but it sure picked up my performance. Doug
