Very nicely sequenced videos.

I'm quite curious about firewood regulations in your part of the world. Are there any concerns about fungi, insect and other tree killing infections.

I'm out in Canada's The Maritimes and in my province you can only use your wood locally. There are tree killing infestations in part of the province.

8-)

As a matter of fact there is bug kill in my backyard but I'm just not to crazy about dropping trees downhill towards the house. I'm hoping to find some with the right tools to pull them up hill...

But as for firewood I got to cut at least 12-15 cords a year just for my own use. But if done right my entire heat bill for the next winter will be less than $500 bucks. So far this burn season has gone from October 2010 to June 2011 I'm still burning wood and my temps are still down to 40-45*F in the mornings. I just rode a ATV up to my wood cutting hole and there is still over 4 foot of snow at 7,000 feet elevation here in Idaho... I'm down to less than 1 cord of dry firewood left out of 12.5 cords...

As for the trailer Its a good 8x8 utility trailer. The box on front has my chainsaw and tools, ATV ramps, etc.

I know what you mean.

While I was in Newfoundland, I had to have a silver maple taken down. By hook or by....... I connected with a pulp logger, who owned a tree hauler. They limbed my tree a bit, then put a line on the tree and did the chain saw cut from the bottom with pull via the line by the tree hauler. Here the pulp logger is hauling all of that tree away.

Nah, not cheating. Just using suitable tools. Especially, when you live in the land of pulp and paper mills.
